Emirates and Olympicos FC renew their commitmentEmiratesGreeks

Emirates Airlines and Olympiacos FC will continue the relationship for at least 2 new seasons, with the familiar "Fly Emirates" signage continuing to be displayed in the Karaiskaki stadium in Athens, the home of Olympiacos.

Olympiacos is one of the leading soccer teams in Greece, having won 24 times the Greek cup.
 
Maurice Flanagan, Executive Vice Chairman of Emirates Airlines and Group said: "Emirates' presence in Greece has steadily grown since we launched there in 1996"

Emirates was represented in the signing ceremony in Athens by Salem Obaidalla, Emirates' SVP Commercial Operations, Europe and Terry Flynn, Emirates Manager in Greece.

Obaidalla referred to the airline's commitment in sports sponsorships around the world saying, "Besides football, Emirates is involved in a wide variety of sports including sailing, golf, horseracing, tennis, cricket and rugby".

George Spyropoulos, Olympiacos Commercial Director said, "In Olympiacos FC, we feel very glad for being a member of the evolving Emirates Sports Family. We strongly believe that the extension of this cooperation is a significant boost for the club and we sincerely hope that the team will be able to demonstrate this boost, on its upcoming matches".
